Catching up

Nothing really exciting has happened over the past month so I really haven't had anything to blog about! We have had a lot of laying around the house and playing with all our christmas toys. We've had a few friends over to play which is always fun and attended Sophie's birthday party (which I got zero pictures of).

Lana, one if Aidens very best girl friends came over one night while her mommy went to dinner. These kids had a blast! We ordered pizza, made banana splits and watched movies in Mommys bed.

Ryan wanted to take aiden to the boat and RV show. He even got to catch a fish in a pool which by the way he's still talking about!

This little lady has been working on her "tricks". My sister made a point to say that Ava doesn't know as much as aiden did at her age. Second child problems!! So with that we started learning body parts. She knew where her nose was for all of two days. Now she just know where her head is. Oh well we will get there! Ha!

This is how I found Aiden after nap one day. So cute.

We also tried on our new beach hats Aunt Karyl sent us!

And also tried on new spring break clothes to make sure they fit!

I went to the matilda jane release with a friend! And ordered too much of course!

I also started as a rep for shrimp and kids clothes. See previous blog post for details!

And I'll leave you with this! I think it may possibly be a curl! My mom and I are constantly scrunching her hair in the back on hopes of curls. This may be that her hair dried funny but I'm counting it as a curl!!! I can hope can't I!!

Shrimp and Grits Kids

I'm so excited to announce I am the new Rep for Shrimp and Grits Kids. They are a kids clothing company based out of South Carolina. Their stuff is so cute and affordable and the best part is they have boy clothes. Moms of boys can relate!

So if you are interested in more information please let me know. I have four shows booked already but since this is my first season I still have a lot of work to do if I want to continue for the fall! So go check out their website, you won't be disappointed!

Make sure to add "Kentucky-Elizabeth Carriss" as the rep at check out! And as always I'm always looking for people to host. You get shrimp and grits cash for every order and 40% off. It's great perks!

Here are a few of my favorite items from this season!

Pancakes and Pajamas

This past weekend we had Aiden's "friends" party. I wanted it to be very low key, so I decided on pancakes and pajamas. I thought it would be nice to have it in the morning so it wouldn't ruin the rest of the day and the kids could just come straight out of bed!

It was so much fun that I think we will make it an annual tradition for his birthday since options are so limited in the winter!

We had donuts instead of cake!

It was so much fun, can't wait until next year!

weekend shenanigans

My weekend actually started on Thursday so we could soak up as much family time with Aunt Boo (Sarah) and Aunt Gigi (Angie). Aiden came down with what we thought was the flu on New Years Eve but his test came back negative. So there were lots of snuggles and TV watching for us as the ball dropped. Well before the ball dropped, I think we were all passed out by 10:00 pm!!

Ava playing with Boo and Trixie!

I really don't know what I'm going to do with this child. She climbs on EVERYTHING. Aiden skipped this phase because he was such a late walker. It's hard, really really hard keeping an eye on her 24-7. She climbs on tables, stools, chairs, pretty much anything she can get those little legs hiked up on! When you tell her NO she just laughs so hard.

(BTW, she wears Aiden's old PJs. I hate spending money on stuff she is just going to sleep in. It drives my sister in law crazy!! Ha! I would rather spend that on more MJ!)

Learning to drink from a straw. She is such a big girl now!

Saturday Aiden was feeling better so we took a family trip to cracker barrel for breakfast.

I was suppose to go to Nashville with my mom and sisters for the weekend however since the kids were sick I didn't want to leave Ryan alone with both kids so that night I got to eat at my all time favorite place!! It was so yummy!!

Sunday we had a little tea party before going to SAMS club.

(just in case anyone is wondering he isn't suppose to be sitting like this and I'm sure his OT/PT and my sister would flip out but I made him fix his legs right after I took this pic!)

I'm so happy about my SAMS find. I had no idea they sold mudpie. Check out these two outfits I got. I'm in love! It's not the best quality and I'm for certain its made special for SAMs but who cares. It's cute and each were only $16.
