WILW

I'm playing along again for What I Love Wednesday!

First of all I am loving that the new fall scents are out at Bath and Body Works. Last year my favorite was Leaves and Carmel Apple! So glad it's back this year!

I am also loving that we have decided on a name for our little boy! So today I had to order his first monogrammed gown!!

(that's not the name, just what the example looks like)
Isn't it so cute. You should check out her store on Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/shop/whimseyco?ref=seller_info

I am so excited to be getting away for the long weekend. We are going to spend a nice relaxing time in Gatlinburg, TN. I can't wait to hit the outlet malls!

I can't wait to sit on this porch in the morning and read a great book!

The Nursery!

I have been going back and forth on how I want to decorate the nursery. Decorating is one of my favorite things to do and since we are moving I can start fresh with a clean slate! I think I am going to paint the walls Ivory.

Here is the bedding I ordered from babybedding.com. They have such cute designs!
I am also in the process of refinishing one of our old dressers. I think I am going to paint it a dark grey color. What do you think?  Maybe find some fun knobs for the drawers!

I also found this cute lamp at TJ Maxx yesterday!

I am trying to find cute (inexpensive) wall art to hang on the walls. I found this on Etsy. I'm hoping to find a cute green frame to put it in!

So far that is all I have! I will keep you updated on the rest of the nursery items. I can't wait to see the finished product!

It's a BOY!

I know I promised this post weeks ago but I just haven't had the time or energy to write. We are also in the process of moving back to our hometown so we are staying very busy these days!

However, we are having a BOY!!!

Four weeks ago we tried to find out what we were having but the little stinker wouldn't open his legs. I guess he is already stubborn like his daddy! I was really bummed but this past Tuesday we were able to go back for another ultrasound. This time it only took seconds for him to cooperate!!

My little sister (who isn't so little anymore) attended the appointment with us. It was very special to have her there since she left for college in Birmingham yesterday. I am so sad two of my sisters live far away but baby C still has two wonderful aunt's here in Kentucky to spoil him rotten!

After the appointment I wouldn't tell my family what we were having until dinner that night. I had made chocolate covered oreos with both pink and blue icing that morning because at the time I just didn't know. My sister took the pink ones to college with her so it all worked out!

Everyone was just as excited as we were! Now we need to get the nursery together and start registering!!

Showers Galore!

Three of my best friends are getting married this year and every weekend in the month of Auguest I have had to attend or host a shower. I am so excited for them but let me tell you, I'm exhausted!

The first one was held in Lexington and since I became preganant I have also become very lazy! I did not take one picture. I am so sorry Rachie! We hosted the luau themed shower at one of our friend's house and it was so great to see all my college friends that I hadn't seen in so long. Here is a picture of me and the bride to be! I am also proud to say she was one of my roomies in college also! I miss my lexington crew so much but cherish the times we do get to spend together!

The following weekend our friend Abby hosted a beautiful lucheon for another great friend Ashley! I have the honor of standing next to her September 10th as she becomes Mrs. Williams!
(Again I still didn't take pictures but luckly others did!)

The Bridesmaids (minus Erin)
The next weekend I hosted a shower for Lindsay. Again, I have the honor to stand next to her September 24th as she becomes Mrs. Hager-Gorman! I am super excited about this because it is in Jacksonville, FL and I am in need of a beach trip before this baby!

Also that weekend I attended another pool party/shower for Ashley.

Show us your life- Baby Showers!

Ok I love hosting showers (or parties in general) but baby showers have to be my all time favorite. Today I am linking up with Kelly's Korner for Show us your life Baby Showers!

Last October I hosted a shower for a very dear friend. The theme was "She's about to POP!". Here are a few pics from the shower!

The Balloon wreath I made for the front door!

Outside I made Lollipops for the flower pots.

Our favors were popsicle soaps and rice crispie treats! (snap, crackle, pop)

lollipop trees!

Our game was guess the pop star kids and King of Pop trivia!

Lollipops, pop rocks, ring pops, blow pops, cake pops!
And Popcorn!
It was a lot of work but so worth it!
