WILW

I am linking up with Jamie for WILW!

First of all I am loving that my computer has decided to work for a little while. We have been having so much trouble with it lately. It is 5 years old so I guess we need to look at purchasing a new one!

I would love this macbook pro! However I don't think Ryan would go for it! But hey it's worth a try!

I am loving that the American Idol finale is on tonight!
GO Lauren Alaina!!

I am loving that we celebrated 4 wonderful things this weekend! Kendra's birthday party, Kellie's Bachelorette Party, Luke's Baptism and Abby's baby shower!! (sorry I don't have any pictures yet!)

I am also loving that my vacation is around the corner! I can't wait to relax on the beach!

We are also having our engagement pictures taken while we are at Fripp Island. So excited!!

And of course I am loving that we are getting married in 324 days!

WILW

I am linking up with Jamie for WILW!

First of all I am loving that it is Wednesday and the weekend is only two days away! I have such a busy weekend planned and can't wait to get it started!

I am loving Chicken Parmesan, which is what I'm making for dinner as soon as I get finished blogging!

I am loving this bed from Ashley Furniture. We have been shopping for a King size bed for weeks now. Ryan is so indecisive. If it were only up to me we would already have it!!

I am also loving this Comforter Set from Target. I want to paint our room a grey color. I highly doubt this will be on our high priority list but hey a girl can dream right!!

I am loving these shoes!

And of course I am loving that I am getting married in 331days!

Lots to do!

I know it seems so far away but I feel like I have so much to do and so little time to do it in! Since I am having a destination wedding I feel like I have nothing to do one day and then all of a sudden......BAM I have to do everything all at once! I was able to talk with my wedding planner today and get my itinerary of our trip in June. As of right now I don't have a ceremony or reception site so that will be the first on our list. She already has an appointment scheduled with a caterer, bakery, and florist. After each appointment we will move on to the next!

With that said I have to start thinking about what I want my cake and flowers to look like and decide what kind of food we want to serve. Seems a bit overwhelming if you ask me!

Here are some ideas I have for the cake! (My colors are Kelly green and pink so use your imagination!)

I also like the idea of cupcakes!

A must for me is butter cream Icing! I am not a fan of fondant. I also want to tie in the "beach theme" and add a few star fish to the cake. However all the ones online seem a bit over done with the "beach theme". I am looking for simple yet elegant!

When it comes to this part of wedding planning, Ryan really doesn't have an opinion. He says I can choose whatever I want, which makes it nice but then again I am so indecisive that I sometimes need someone to just decide! What do you think?

And of course you already know I am loving that I am getting married in 339 days!!

pink raspberry champagne cupcakes

I made these great cupcakes for a baby shower and they were absolutely delicious!

Here is the recipe that I adapted from the Betty Crocker cookbook.

Champagne Cupcakes
1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® white cake mix
1 1/4 cups champagne (I just used 1 cup)
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 egg whites
4 to 5 drops red food coloring

Champagne Frosting
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup champagne
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 to 5 drops red food coloring

Garnish
Pink decorator sugar crystals
Edible pink pearls

**I changed it up a little and added fresh pureed raspberries to the batter and the frosting. FYI you may have to add more powdered sugar because the raspberries add more liquid and you wont be able to pipe it on the cupcakes.

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
  2. In large bowl, combine dry cake mix and champagne. Add oil, eggs and food color. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.
  3. Bake 17 to 22 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  4. In medium bowl, beat frosting ingredients with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Frost cupcakes. Sprinkle with pink sugar and pearls.

Favorite Vacation Spots!

I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner today for SUYL Friday's! Today is favorite vacation spots!

I love to go on vacation, who doesn't right?  And have lots and lots and lots of favorite vacation spots! My all time favorite vacation had to be the Atlantis in the Bahamas! It was absolutely fabulous. My entire family went on a family trip when I was in college and I took my roommate along with us! We had a absolute blast! Everything you need is right there and you never have to leave the resort. I love laying out and the water was crystal clear. Now this was 7-8 years ago so I know now there is probably way more to do!

Another favorite beach spot for me is Seaside, FL (and a whole lot cheaper then the Atlantis!) We have taken many family trips to Seaside and it is such a beautiful place! Seaside is located in the panhandle of Florida on the Emerald Coast and is about 25 miles from Destin, Fl. Visit http://www.seasidefl.com/ for more information about this cute little town on the beach.

My favorite restaurant is Bud and Alley's. It is so cute, you overlook the water and they also have a rooftop bar! The Shrimp Shack is also delicious!

Another great vacation spot we like is Las Vegas. Actually this is Ryan's favorite vacation spot but it works out for both of us because he loves to gamble and I love to lay by the pool. The pools in Vegas are wonderful. You don't feel like your in Vegas at all when you are there!
We have stayed at two hotels, MGM and the Flamingo. The next time I go I would love to stay at Caesars.

A cute little place to eat lunch is Serendipity. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go. The dessert menu is to die for!
You have to try their  famous frozen hot chocolate!

Meet Sampson and Delilah

This past weekend my dogs (Sampson is actually my mom's dog) were able to run outside at my grandmothers house. They LOVE going to their great grandmothers house because they are not required to be on a leash! Delilah has even been known to jump in the lake that sits behind their house! But look at that face, how could you be mad at that!

How cute are they?? I just love them!
